And just like that… back to school is here again!

As parents up and down the country prepare for their children going back to school – in whatever form that may be bearing in mind the constant flux thanks to the pandemic – it’s time to once again to focus on getting back to business.

For some, that back to school feeling means finally returning to the office at the very least in a hybrid, more flexible form. And while business confidence is growing and sectors that had been forced to shut down over the last 16 months are once again re-opening (albeit a little bruised from the experience), there are still some challenges that remain.

It’s back to school for conferences!

This is one of the industries most severely affected by the pandemic, but the good news is that the first shoots of bounce back are already being seen. It appears that the sector is aiming to make the most of the elements of virtual conferences that have been necessary for more than a year, as well as welcoming the return of the elements of in-person events that everyone has missed so much.

So if it’s back to school then it’s definitely back to business!

With many conferences embracing a more hybrid approach they’re able to cater not only for those who want to attend in person, but also accommodate those who aren’t ready to venture out yet and would rather attend virtually. For some events, this virtual presence also extends to presenters and speakers who can participate as effectively as in-person speakers on a stage. The key to the success of the hybrid event format is that it meets the needs of your organisation, without being distracted by event-tech vendors’ platform hype and promises.
